Life in an amusement park is very exciting, though living in the US is not as glamorous as portrayed in the movies. As carnival work can be very demanding with irregular hours and little or no time off, you will have to prepare yourself for a mental and physical challenge that will change your life! Every park has a strict schedule it has to adhere to; therefore, they require flexible staff willing to work long, irregular hours.
As you are part of the carnival team, you are expected to do all kinds of work. You are also required to adapt to the camping style living conditions and difficult hours sometimes. The fun part starts after hours when you socialise with your new friends with a typical South African braai outside the bunk houses, or maybe painting the town red while having a fabulous party.
